14 Days...

Today, I am not Katy, I am Rajaa. I have to be her voice because she has no internet and we are only able to stay in touch through WhatsApp.

She has asked me to post this for her:

Please read and share…

It’s been 14 days now.

14 days of non-stop bombing and ongoing air strikes.

14 days of bloody horrifying sleepless nights.

14 days of mass destruction of the civilian houses, residential buildings, mosques, churches, and hospitals.

14 days of constant fear and panic attacks.

14 days of mass displacement.

14 days of darkness and electricity cut.

14 days of struggle to get our basic human needs.

14 days of tragic loss of family members and friends.

14 days of entire families being wiped out of the civil registry.

14 days of killing, targeting, bombing, slaughtering, all kinds of living things in Gaza.

14 days of : ”How much water do we still have ? Do we still have enough food?”

14 days of ongoing questions : “ where did this bombing take place? Who was targeted?”

14 days of black and chocking smell of gunpowder everywhere in the Sky.

14 days of Salma (13) asking: “When is this going to end? If we are going to die, I hope we die today, it’s very exhausting to keep waiting our turn to die”

14 days of Alma (11) wondering : “Are we going to die tonight? Is it our turn?”

14 days of Joudy (9) : “ I don’t want to die. I am still very young and I want to become a famous fashion designer “

14 days of Adam and Ahmad’s (4) nonstop questions : “ Who is bombing us? Why? Why do they want us dead? Can we go somewhere safe away from the bombing? Can you call them and ask them to stop?”

I don’t know if we can bear more. I don’t think our hearts can handle more of this. We are humans. We deserve to live in peace. Please do something and stop this ongoing genocide committed against us.
