I’m Ghadeer.

I'm so sad to tell you that Fatema was killed with all her family.😭

Please share this to the whole world.

When teacher Ghadeer shared this awful message with me on WhatsApp on 27th October, I don’t suppose she dreamt for one minute that her student’s words would be performed by primary school children in an Italian playground, or translated into more than 20 languages, or serve as the inspiration for new poems written by senior school children in the north of Ireland or, as you can see in the image below, be read aloud by actor Pauline Goldsmith in front of a demonstration of thousands of people calling for an immediate ceasefire in Glasgow.

Actor Pauline Goldsmith reads Fatema’s poem to a crowd of thousands in Glasgow November 11

Fatema’s short and precious life was ended along with those of her family by an Israeli missile. But her words may well be paving the road to freedom and the language she spoke was love.
